Blanche d’Armagnac

Varietal Composition:  100% Ugni Blanc

Alcohol %:   40%

Description:   Water white appearance with notes of white tea, star fruit, papaya, white peach, custard and hints of banana and hazelnut.  Distilled & bottled at 58°C and reduced immediately to 40°C using osmosis water in stainless steel tanks. No oak aging. Minimum three months in tank, bottled to order allowing for the water to marry and the distillate to mellow and soften. Excellent base for cocktails.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Domaine de Papolle VSOP

Varietal Composition: 100% Ugni Blanc

Alcohol %:   40%

Description:   Light golden-oak in color, VSOP presents with aromas of agave syrup, floral notes, grapefruit and fennel. On the palate you will perceive ginger, candied violet and walnuts with lingering flavors of cedar and baking spice. Distilled & Bottled at 62°C and reduced to 40°C using osmosis water. Aged for a minimum of six years in new, locally made barrels. Estate- grown and distilled only once in an alembic still. The Armagnacs in this blend reside in only one barrel for their entire aging period.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Domaine de Papolle Hors d’Age 

Varietal Composition: 100% Ugni Blanc

Alcohol %:   40%

Description:  Amber in color with a deep, rich aroma of dried fruits and leather. Dense, dark, rich fruits (black cherries) on the palate with caramel sweetness and spices. Full bodied with a long, rich, spicy finish and alcohol warmth.  Distilled & Bottled at 62°C and reduced to 40°C using osmosis water. Aged for a minimum of 12 years in new, locally made barrels. Estate- grown and distilled only once in an alembic still. Racked from a new barrel after two years and resides in only one or two additional barrels depending on its evolution for its entire aging period.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Domaine de Papolle 15 Ans

Varietal Composition: Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche & Baco 22A

Alcohol %:   43%

Description:   Briney notes followed by papaya, coconut, cedar and bay leaf aromas. Dried caramel, apple and gentle tannins give way to rich, dark, lingering stewed fruit flavors. Menthol and tobacco finish.  Aged for a minimum of fifteen years in barrels made from new local wood. Produced from estate wine and distilled only once in an alembic still. The Armagnacs in this blend are racked for aeration to balance freshness and tannin. No additives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Domaine de Papolle 20 Ans

Varietal Composition:  Ugni Blanc & Baco 22A

Alcohol %:   42%

Description:   Amber-colored with pronounced aromas of plum, raisins, baked fruits, grape skins and highly caramelized candy. Equally intense fruit mirrored on the palate. Full bodied with a lingering finish.  Distilled & bottled at cask strength. Aged for 20 years in new, locally made barrels. Estate-grown and distilled only once in an alembic still. Racked from a new barrel after two years and resides in only one or two additional barrels depending on its evolution for its entire aging period.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Domaine de Papolle 1990

Varietal Composition: Ugni Blanc & Baco 22A

Alcohol %:   44%

Description:    Amber-colored with specks of gold. Aromas of intense earth, papaya, and tea-spiced dark honey. On the palate, tropical fruit salad, almonds and dark tea. Finishes with hints of cedar and spices.  Distilled and bottled at 62°C and reduced to 44°C without the addition of water. After distillation, aged two years in new, local oak barrels before being transferred into older oak to moderate the integration of tannin. As it develops over time, it is racked for aeration in three barrels for its entire aging period. No additives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

Domaine de Papolle 1975

Varietal Composition: 100% Baco 22A

Alcohol %:   43%

Description:    Mahogony in color with a bouquet of toffee, cigar wrapper, and maple bacon aromas. Presents ginger, dried orange, sage and leather on the palate. A sweet, long finish with tropical fruit, ginger and cigar box.  Traditionally, Armagnac from the Domaine de Papolle estate remains in cask until bottling upon order. As such, this Armagnac is truly a spirit that displays the efforts of forty years of aging in barrel. Stirred and racked occasionally to insure a balance between tannin and fruit. No additives.
